I have not written on this blog in a while. I have been busy sewing and writing weekly reviews of this season's Ink Master for the Tattoo Artist Magazine Blog. If you do not mind reading a foul mouthed Italian expounding on the world of reality television, then feel free to check it out.
I did manage to get 3 Holiday Quilts completed.
My Charlie Brown Christmas Quilt:
Cherry Christmas Quilt:
Back of the Quilt
And The Yule Father Quilt
I have gotten quite a lot of work done this year and am quite surprised about the amount of quilts I finished.
Have a happy and safe new year!

Victor Farinelli: Ink Master Review (Episode 7)
My Review of last week's episode of Inkmaster over at TAM.
Victor Farinelli: Ink Master Review (Episode 7): By Victor Farinelli A long time ago in, in a galaxy far, far away… a girl needed lithium. Sarah Miller needs some serious medication. One minute, she is bouncing off the walls she is so excited, the next she is about to kill herself. She displayed this so well in this episode: The Star Wars [read the rest over at TAM]

Ink Master Review Episode 6
Here is my post over at the Tattoo Artist Magazine Blog:
Victor Farinelli: Ink Master Review (Episode 6): By Victor Farinelli Let’s celebrate the land of the free, home of the brave with GUNS! Sorta like banjos, only different. Episode VI was “all about attention to detail,” Dave Navarro emphasized. For the flash challenge, the contestants had to carve an image into the stock of a gun. Guns owned by real, meat-eating, beer-bellied, [...] Read the rest at TAM.

Ink Master Review (Episode 5) [Tattoos]
Here is my Ink Master Remaster recap over at TAM.
Victor Farinelli: Ink Master Review (Episode 5): By Victor Farinelli Before I get started on the recap, I want to rattle some cages. There is some gab on the inter-webs about the contestants on Ink Master “stealing” tattoos from other artists. Don’t know if it is true or not, but some interesting tidbit came to my awareness that is kinda funny. Not [continue reading at TAM]

The Doctor...
The Mrs. and I made a Dr. Who quilt some friends of ours up in live deep in the frostbitten Pennsylvania Woods...well not really in the woods...more like Harrisburg. The Mrs. did the piecing and I did the quilting.

Nevermore Quilt
Just finished this little wall hanging/lap quilt. I did my version of a wonky block. The fabric is the Nevermore collection from Michael Miller. I am super happy with the way it came out.
Finished Size: 38" x 38"
Doing this quilt reminded me of an Eagle Twin Song:

Fall Blogger's Quilt Festival.
Over at Amy's Creative Side, they are having a Fall Blogger's Quilt Festival. If you enter a quilt you may have a chance to when a prize! Cool Stuff ABOUND!
So the Mrs said I should enter my Rune Quilt. This is my favorite quilt so far. When I saw the viking fabric by Timeless Treasures, I knew I had to have it. Since I like to go by "Victhor the Viking" I thought it was perfect.
At first I was just going to do boats and put the map in the middle but then boom - GREAT ODIN'S RAVENS - I had the idea of doing runes instead. I designed them in EQ 7 and Boom! I have my favorite wall hanging!
Wish me luck!!!

Rune Quilt [Quilt]
Wounded I hung on a wind-swept gallows
For nine long nights,
Pierced by a spear, pledged to Odin,
Offered, myself to myself
The wisest know not from whence spring
The roots of that ancient rood.
They gave me no bread,
They gave me no mead,
I looked down;
With a loud cry
I took up runes;
From that tree I fell.
Nine lays of power
I learned from the famous Bolthor, Bestla' s father:
He poured me a draught of precious mead,
Mixed with magic Odrerir.
Waxed and throve well;
Word from word gave words to me,
Deed from deed gave deeds to me.
Runes you will find, and readable staves,
Very strong staves,
Very stout staves,
Staves that Bolthor stained,
Made by mighty powers,
Graven by the prophetic God.
For the Gods by Odin,
By Dvalin, too, for the Dwarves,
By Asvid for the hateful Giants,
And some I carved myself:
Thund, before man was made, scratched them,
Who rose first, fell thereafter.

L’Amour De La Vie Table Runner
Hello Again,
It has finally cooled off! Is fall on it's way here in Texas? I sure the hell hope so. I live in Texas but I cannot stand the heat. The only reason I am still here is that the city I live in is one of the raddist places in the world.
Anyway, I know it is not spring time but we had these fat quarter set of fabric by Timeless Treasure that I thought would make a great attic window table runner. The fabric collection is called "L’Amour De La Vie". My freemotion quilting is improving and I am pretty proud of the way this one turned out.
